The king size bed was comfortable. The ceiling leaked, the tv worked only part time, the comode seat would not stay up. There was dog hair on the chairs, and blood on the wall. Other than these things it was ok for a quick over nighter
For the price, the breakfast was fine.
I didn't feel comfortable here. I didn't expect much for the price (the cheapest so far in our one month trip around the western usa). However ,there were gaps around the door to our room, which could easily have been fixed, and we sealed them with paper to stop bugs getting in. The bathmat was dirty. While the sheets were clean, the bedcover was grubby and the base of the bed stained. Everything just seemed to need a bit of care and attention, and most surfaces (walls etc) needed cleaning. In the morning I would have mentioned these things to the owner, but no-one appeared to be on duty while we were having breakfast, and no-one appeared when other people rang the bell for attention.
Nice personnel, fridge & microwave in room
location nearby railway station, trains start honking at five o'clock, but almost all motels in Gallup are along Route 66 and the same railway... airconditiong not efficient because its location placed nearby bathroom.
Room was actually two queen bed bedroom, separate living room with tv/micro/fridge, entrance"hall" and bathroom. Lot of space ! Breakfast was not very much; muffins, coffee, orange juice...Anyhow, well worth the money.
The management did not speak English well and were very confused , both on the phone and in person. The first room they gave us only had one bed, and we had requested two. Our room was filthy. The carpet hadn't even been vacuumed and the blankets had not been washed. The pool was dirty and falling apart. It looked like noone had been out there in months.
This hotel is the "pits" and should not be part of the Bookings .com site the building should be demolished. Everthing is so old and grubby. The discription on the site is far from what it is. Furniture in the room is falling apart and the chair provided is so stained. The approach needs a good hosing down and a sweep. There was even an old broken washing machine lying at our door. The carpets are dirty the bathroom door has had someone attempting to bash it down. The lampshades have passed their sell by date and the shower eventually delivered a trickle. We took pictures if you would like them. The maximum charge for this establishment should be between $25-$35. This is the worst I have been to in my life. The refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was a free WiFi connection. The rates were pretty good. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was done in between. I have seen less service.
It looked a bit run down. I bet the motel could be fixed up good, but the management just did not seem very interested in anything. I have to be fair though, what may you expect with the rates offered.
Rooms are comfortable but breakfast is rather poor.
The price was the only good thing about the motel
Rooms smelled very bad, sheets were not clean, old, dirty. We were thinking about leaving, but the room was already paid!
You must be joking! the room we were originally given was not serviced from the previous guests and the room we finally got was terrible.
Very close to Mesa Verde, very friendly staff
Laundry facilities readily available; nice restaurant right next door.
Budget priced--you get what you pay for. It's an old motel that needs updating, but if you don't mind the worn carpet, shades and lighting, it's a good value. If you want a Holiday Inn, go to Holiday Inn, and don't complain about this place. The staff was friendly, the housekeeping was good and it is located on Main Street near a couple restaurants and gas station. We stayed at the the motel for 5 nights, using it as a base to explore the four corners area, so we were not there during the day during our stay. It was quiet at night, even over the weekend. We were satisfied with the motel based upon the cost per night.
Beware that the parking is very, very very tight. Large SUV's and trucks(you know who you are) will be squeezed, and if they care about the vehicle next to them, will find getting in and out difficult-- unless they don't care about the damage they do to the vehicle next to them. Also, although continental breakfast is included, it isn't available until 7am. Would have liked one of those small coffee makers in the room instead.
Can't beat the price, it was about $30 cheaper than other hotels, you do get what you pay for. If you can put up with a few reminders that you didn't pay a lot, you'll be fine, if you expect great everything for so little money, you'll be angrier than you usually are. A pool, microwave, and fridge, definitely worth it!
The bed was hard, the carpet in the room was stained and dirty, the bathroom was dirty and smelled. When I took a shower I got burned when someone in the next room flushed the toilet. I could not drink the water or even use the ice from their icemaker. It tasted awful! I would not recommend National 9 Inn.
